Another colored piece using photoshop. The x-men all-time favorite character, Wolverine as seen here with dead ninjas of course right after a blood-drenched battle. They might be well-trained assasins but against a mutant with adamantium bone structure and a near immortality mutant factor, they are just perfect subjects for work-out.

A colored version from my previous post “Bugno”. With Photoshop, I decided to put color on this out of experimenting and curiosity of what would this artwork looked like if it has colors. Though I am not really good and adept in using photoshop, I just used the basic tools and brushes of which I was more comfortable and considered easy to utilize in digital paintings.

it’s been a while since I made a side- trip to my wordpress blog and added this new post. This piece shows a scene of two famous creatures of Philippine folklore fight each other in competition for food or teritory. The ungo is depicted here as a monster with tentacle-hairs of which it can use to apprehend or choke its victims before it gorges down their internal organs. As for the infamous aswang which is depicted here as a werewolf look-alike, seems to justify its ability to shape-shift yet it was more described in folklore to be capable of fully turning into a dog, a cat or even a sow (female pig) though I decided to visualized it like this to add more mobility and fighting prowess to it against the ungo. I am still really looking forward to make a story out of these characters and put them in comic book very soon.

some kinda tribute to the most idolized character of the marvel universe, yeah said so,the x-man Wolverine. done this one with a ballpoint and a pinch of imagination. i just don’t know what reasons other people have for liking this character but for sure the same as mine, his mutant-healing factor(scientific sense for immortality) and his indestructible adamantium skeleton and claws.oh well, nuff said, just drop your C & C’s for this piece of sketch.

some kinda x-men huh?

indeed x-men really filled our minds those days. this drawing was a collaboration where i did the pencils and my bud of the same weather (i mean feather…sounds gayish so don’t mind if i changed it)Chummy, the main man finished it off with his inks. in actuality, this was our first attempt to make a comic book out of these groupie i even forgot their group’s name but(i hate using this word)it suddenly slipped out of our interest faster than speed of light, kapish!just because of too many priorities, i guess, at that time and also when college life was a ‘constant struggle’ for you know what projects, plates, the forever dreaded examinations and other stude’s concerns. like this one, we both have many attempts in making comics both solo and collaboration and unfortunately ended in the recycle bins of our brains. yet, i don’t make promises but someday i would (we would) finally justify ourselves by accomplishing even at least one comic creation before our imaginations and creative juices dried out literally. C and C’s is free-for-all,Worldlings!

i praised the day i heard his music

everyone of us have our influences in almost everything specially music. the guy in this pic is Steven Patrick Morrissey. i’ve been indulged in his music back when he was still in his band The Smiths and up until now in his solo career. there are a lot of good bands with good music in the wide expanses of the music world but this guy and his music has really caught my attention and since then, i’ve been really digging to his songs. to a common person, his songs is just ordinary to the ears but if you read his lyrics, you’ll discover simple yet compelling words like watching a low-rated movie but in the end found out the unexpected twist actually left you wanting to watch it again. the right term for this (correct me if i’m wrong) is ‘catchy words’. in his lyrics, you may discover hidden phrases with meaning like poetry does to a reader. this is one of his song lyrics that i considered hauntingly mesmerizing : ‘ it may all end tomorrow or it could go on forever, in which case I’m doomed.’as for my understanding for this phrase, the world may come to an end or it may not but to whatever point we’re still doomed to die.so, this wraps up my short essay about this artist and for just wanting to write something about him and his music as a tribute for influencing me.

here’s a very nice sample of a colored-pencil rendering. pulled this one from the net and how i dearly wish i would be able to this in the future. and besides, the artist of this masterpiece is surely using class-A colored pencils(which i literally and practically can’t afford to buy)and of course it takes a lot of precious-golden-time to do this (then again, that i don’t have much because of too many priorities). it’s simple logic I THINK that if you use something expensive in art or whatever and with so much time to waste the results would surely be nice, good and exceptional. yeah-yeah so much for the babble. enjoy appreciating this piece.

i'm hunting rabbits!

i’ve made this guy here way back in college as one of my projects in a minor subject. roughly drawn and colored with pencils, art pen and colored pencils (that ended up like being colored with crayons). colored pencils has somewhat another kind of render effect if just properly used or professionally used (of which i failed to do obviously here in this piece). yup, i got no choice at that time but to use them since it’s faster and practical to use(compared to water color, pastels,acrylic, poster, etc..i’ll just post a sample of a drawing that was properly rendered by a professional using colored pencils. don’t mind of your comments and crits, worldlings.

for only half a day, i modeled this craft through imagination and of course with the aid of good ol’ sketch-up. right after, i rendered it through 3d max and v-ray then for the finishing touches (the background and the craft duplicate) through photoshop. i admit that this ship has a semblance to starwars spacecraft i couldn’t exactly pinpoint which one but at least i spent my creative-juices wisely. Don’t hesitate to comment or crit, worldlings.
